Marc Hendrickx

The multidisciplinary work of Marc Hendrickx is in every way contemporary.
It minimizes the boarder between art and everyday life.
Marc gives his " objets trouvés" the time to mature, to integrate, to go in dialogue, to find a place in his worldview.

Marc was born in the city of Lier, near Antwerp (Belgium).
After his university degrees in Physical Education, Recreational Sports, Leisure and Outdoor Activities, he started working in the tourism branch.
Travelling all over the world, Marc became interested in the international art scene and studied eight years at the Royal Art Academy of Mechelen.

His first solo-exposition "' the Other Site of the Twin " was a big hit and many group expositions followed.

One of Marc’s most famous work " My Way to Heaven "

is placed in front of the modern culture site " 't Blikveld " in the municipal of Bonheiden, near the city of Mechelen.

With his outdoor project " Hanging Shoes " (2020 - Langdorp ) and with the big inter-provincial

landart project " Buiten Aardse Kunst " ( 2022 - Herk de Stad & Gijmel ) Marc also got his breakthrough as an organizer of exhibitions and curator.
At this moment Marc is creating his own art garden in the nature area " Achter de Blankers " in Aarschot and preparing his big solo exposition: 

" What_s about Shoes ".
